KARACHI: Overseas Pakistani workers remitted $9,458.66 million in the first six months (July to December) of FY17, compared with $9688.34 million received during the same period in the previous year. During December 2016, the inflow of worker’s remittances amounted to $1,584.17 million, which is 1.2 percent lower than November 2016 and December 2015, State Bank of Pakistan said. The country wise details for the month of December 2016 show that inflows from Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, UK, GCC countries (including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman) and EU countries amounted to $475.75 million, $339.93 million, $182.17 million, $181.85 million, $203.63 million and $35.08 million respectively compared with the inflow of $501.99 million, $339.53 million, $208.05 million, $190.57 million, $209.5 million and $35.25 million respectively in December 2015.
