KARACHI: Counter-terrorism department (CTD), on Wednesday, alleged the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for giving financial assistance to terrorists behind Chinese consulate attack in Karachi last year.
According to the information available with media sources, an interim challan with reference to the attack was submitted at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), which read, “Two of the accused including Abdul Latif have confessed to their crimes. They have also recorded their statements before the magistrate under Section-164.”
The CTD has also approached the Interpol to help arrest the accused and their facilitators in this case, who were still absconding in the case.
Earlier, three militants with connections to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had attempted to attack the Chinese consulate in the Clifton area on November 23, last year, and were shot dead in a resulting exchange of fire. The assault had claimed four lives; two policemen and two visa applicants encounter with the law enforcement personnel.
