Quetta Gladiators won their opening match against Peshawar Zalmi

Dubai: Umer Akmal heroic 75 runs innings paved the way for the Gladiators to defeat the PSL 3 runner up’s Peshawar Zalmi.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and they choose to bowl first. Peshawar Zalmi lost their first wicket in just 2.2 overs when Muhammad Irfan Jr removed Andre Fletcher.

Then a 63 runs partnership between Kamran Akmal and Sohaib Maqsood helped Zalmi to progress slowly. Kamran Akmal was caught by Rossouw in 11th over by Muhammed Nawaz.

Later on Sohaib Maqsood also lost his wicket in 12.3 overs. Kievn Pollard failed to make an impression in his first match of PSL 4th edition.

Misbah unbeaten 49 and Dawson 14 ball 21 helped Zalmi to put a decent total of 155 in 20 overs.

Quetta Gladiators opener Ahmed Shahzad lost his wicket on the first ball of their innings. But a 62 runs stand between Umar Akmal and Sarfraz Ahmed helped Quetaa to register their first win in the PSL 4.

Man of the match Umar Akmal scored an unbeaten 75 runs.
