Singer Zoheb Hassan criticised Pakistan Super League (PSL) organsiers on Friday for copyright infringement. Hassan took issue with PSL for using his late sister and singing sensation Nazia Hassan’s hit number ‘Disco Deewane’ on the opening night without permission. Performed by Shuja Haider and Aima Baig, the crowd grooved to the dance track. However, it didn’t go well with Hassan. Taking to Facebook, he wrote, “I was shocked to see that a reputable platform like PSL used our track Disco Dewane without our prior permission. Outright infringement of intellectual property should be condemned and I am going to take a legal stand on this one.” Published in Daily Times, February 16th 2019.
