The political parties of Left, labour organisations and literary, social and human rights circles on Saturday expressed solidarity with the elected socialist Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro and the people of Venezuela. In a joint meeting held in the office of National Trade Union Federation (NTUF) with veteran Leftist leader Usman Baloch in chair, they condemned in the strongest possible words the attack of America on sovereignty of the Venezuelan government and threat of a military action. The parties termed it a breach of the international laws.

Addressing the meeting, they said America and its allied countries after bloodbaths in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and other countries are now trying to create a new human tragedy by opening a new front in the South America. Like its past practices, the US wanted to remove the president Maduro through undemocratic means because he has emerged as the symbol of people’s resistance against the imperialistic policies in the region.
