CM chairs meeting of commissioners and RPOs over law, order

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over a marathon meeting at civil secretariat here on Monday to review the law & order situation. He said that Sahiwal incident is tragic and all the sympathies of the Punjab government are with the family of deceased Khalil. The affected family will be fully taken care of, he added.

He said that commissioners and RPOs will have to deliver by working in the field and police and administration will be strengthened by the government. You will be fully supported for providing relief to the masses. You should perform your duties with confidence and problems of the people should be solved on priority basis, he added. The PTI government has freed the administration and police from political pressures. Usman Buzdar maintained that law & order situation is not satisfactory and it is needed to be improved further. He directed to continue indiscriminate operations against the land grabbers and added that commissioners and RPOs should solve the problems of the people by holding open-courts in their respective districts. The open-door policy should also be implemented in letter & spirit, he said.

Chief Minister directed that field situation should be personally monitored by visiting hospitals and educational institutions and added that steps should also be taken for bringing required improvements. Meanwhile, the general situation of cleanliness should be improved in cities and Arazi Centers should be regularly visited as well. Special attention should be given to the solution of traffic problems in cities. He said that performance of public sector departments should be improved by introducing necessary reforms. It has been for the first time that commissioners and RPOs have been given the opportunity to deliver. The core mission of the government is to provide relief to the people, he said. Usman Buzdar said that police should adopt a public-friendly attitude as ‘all-is-good’ report will not help now. He said that inter-departmental coordination should be further improved as no leniency or negligence will be tolerated with regard to the mission of public relief.

PTI parliamentary party meeting expresses heartfelt condolences over Sahiwal incident

Latter, Chief Minister presided over a meeting of parliamentary party at Punjab Assembly cafeteria here on Monday. The meeting condemned Sahiwal incident and expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. The meeting also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over this incident and prayed for the salvation of departed souls.

CM directs to arrest the accused involved in firing in Pakpattan

Usman Buzdar has also taken notice of firing incident outside the district courts in Pakpattan and sought a report from the Inspector General Police. He has directed that the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident should be ensured and legal action should be initiated against them.
