Works & Services, Prison, Religious Affairs, Forest & Wildlife Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said on Sunday that a transparent and comprehensive policy would be devised for the development and expansion of forests in the province. He said that a sustainable system based on merit and proper check and balance will be formulated in this regard. The minister said this while presiding over a meeting in this regard at his office. The meeting discussed in detail the preparation for the Sustainable Forest Management Policy 2019, Annual Development Programme, Acts, the Agenda on Forests of Secretaries Committees Meeting and the implementation of the orders of the Supreme and High Court. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that owing to climate change, increase in temperate and air pollution, the first urban forest of the province will be established in Karachi that will be expanded to other parts of the province gradually.
