Militancy-hit-tribal districts’ long standing dream of merging FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being made practical & journey of development has started already, this was held by prominent poet & Professor Abaseen Yousafzai. He was speaking on the literary session jointly organized by Mohmand Adbabi Ghuncha (MAG), Mohmand Adabi Tolana (MAT) and Markazi Mohmand Adabai Tolana here at Degree College Ekkaghund on Saturday at Mohmand tribal district. The Literary Session chaired by Professor Abaseen Yousafzai, titled “Za Pakhtoon Da Qafelo Sara Zam” was also attended by revolutionary poet Bakht Zada Danish, Hussain Ahmad Sadiq, Afsarul Mulk Afghan, Iqbal Hussain Shakir, Saqib Afridi, Inyat Ullah Zia, Hamdaullah Jan Bismel, Zafar Khan Zafar, ANP Mohmand President Nisar Mohmand, Main Farooq Firaq, Shams Mohmand, Ghulam Hussain Mohib, Hairan Momand and writers and poets from Khyber, Charsadda, Mardan, Swat and Peshawar. The local poets presented their poems and ghazals on peace, unity and love for the cause of humanity. Addressing the literary gathering as chief guest, Professor Abaseen Yousafzai said that he was proud of young poets as they were the future of the nation and would work for the progress and development of the country. FATA aspires for KP-merger in hopes of development “All the nations in the world, first of all, promote their language and culture and later make a mark on the globe; as those who devalue their language and culture face embarrassment,” Yousafzai said. Recalling the violent episode in the area, he stressed that everyone should be united for the development and progress of their own areas and should tolerate one another’s arguments for the sake of peace. He lamented that writers, journalists, customs and norms in tribal areas had been badly affected due to militancy in last couple of years. Pointing to the merger of tribal areas into KP Province, he said that now tribal areas had come on right track. Democratic norms would sustain a peaceful society formed under the umbrella of constitution, and although there are some challenges in these areas, those would be resolved after completion of merger process, Yousafzai stressed.
