Veteran TV actor Gulab Chandio passes away

Veteran Sindhi and Urdu TV actor Gulab Chandio died in Karachi on Friday after a long illness. Chandio will be buried in his ancestral village of Nawabshah today (Saturday).

The actor, who shot to fame in the 80s, was renowned for his dialogue delivery skills. Despite often playing the villain, Chandio also played the lead in several Sindhi drama serials.

Although, the actor emerged on the national scene as a Sindhi language actor, he shortly proved his adaptability and as a result started getting cast in meatier roles in Urdu dramas serials. ‘Chandio’s most popular role was in the hit drama ‘Chand Grehan’.
