‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ director Zoya Akhtar is known for her distinctive style of filmmaking. Her latest project ‘Gully Boy’, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is based on the hip-hop community in Mumbai. The actors announced the date of trailer release in an interesting way with Ranveer’s rap song ‘Asli Hip Hop’ as the voice over while showing snippets from the film. Several celebrities have reacted to the song as it shows Ranveer talking about a small town boy aspiring for success. The video stars Alia and Kalki Koechlin with Ranveer roaming the streets as an underground rapper. Filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, “I love love love this!!!!!!! Zoya you star!!!!! Can’t wait to see #GullyBoy,” Arjun Kapoor, who is Ranveer close friend and relative wrote, “Asli talent ki vulcano #ZoyaAkhtar with apna dil ka raja @RanveerOfficial & mini meryll @aliaa08 produced by the Maverick trendsetters @FarOutAkhtar & @ritesh_sid cannot wait for Valentines Day cause it’s a date with #GullyBoy !!!”. Meanwhile, wife and actor Deepika Padukone voiced her approval of the teaser and love for Ranveer on Instagram. “You are unstoppable,” she wrote in a comment. “I love you & I am so proud of you,” she wrote. The trailer of the Ranveer Singh-starrer will be out on January 9. Fans have reacted to the announcement by showering their love on the actors. Netizens have flooded Twitter applauding Ranveer’s professional way of rapping to the song while citing how they cannot wait for the trailer release.
