KHYBER AGENCY: Security forces imposed curfew at night in some areas of Tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency.
The residents said that the announcement was made through megaphones and loudspeakers from the mosques. Residents of Ghundi, Bakarabad, Godar, Lashora, Mulagori and Nai Abadi were directed to remain in their homes from 8pm to 5am.
According to administration sources, the curfew was imposed after an intelligence report revealed that an explosive-laden vehicle had entered Jamrud. The decision added to the woes of the local tribesmen and a large numbers of people stayed outside their homes as they had no prior information about the immediate implementation of curfew in their area.
