53 missing children recovered by police in November

Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 304 proclaimed offenders, 64 court absconders, registered 2,252 cases and recovered cash, valuables, drugs and illegal weapons from them and also impounded 65,325 motorcycles during the month of November.

According to details, PHP teams registered 2,252 cases against rash drivers, illicit arms holders, alcoholics and drug peddlers. PHP teams also arrested 304 proclaimed offenders and 64 court absconders during the month of November.

PHP teams helped 18,298 road commuters, reunited 53 lost children with their parents and provided first aid to 299 injured persons. PHP team impounded 65,325 motorcycles that had no documents or were using fake number plates. PHP made a commendable performance regarding illicit arms, liquor and drugs. During the previous month, 15 Kalashnikovs, 19 rifles, 31 carbines/guns, 176 pistols, 2,996 liters liquor, 111,669 grammes hashish and 1,923 gramme heroin were recovered from culprits. Furthermore, PHP also removed 3,893 temporary encroachments in different parts of highway.
