Top three outfits from bridal week

Author: Saira Agha

REEMA AHSAN – the couturier showcased her distinct bridal collection titled Daastaan. This one in particular stood out for its light and pastel colour palette with shades of coral accentuating the gharara. The pastel pink shirt held details of naqshi, dabka, pearls and Swarovski, paired with a traditional style chata patti jamawar gharara and gota duppata. It’s priced at Rs 195,000 and is indeed a very affordable bridal outfit. It is available at Reema Ahsan’s store on Cavalry Ground.

AISHA SADYA — Aisha Sadya Design House displayed their collection titled Jewels of Secret Garden on the second day of the Pantene Bridal Couture Week ’18. The unique colour and the traditional embroidery on this particular outfit got our attention. The combination of pink, coral and green with embroidered sleeves, and a green and white camisole added to the outfit’s sophistication. The net duppatta and heavily-bordered loose pants highlighted the outfit’s grace with striking motifs. Pure jamawars, net, traditional silhouettes and jewel stone embellishments lined the outfit, which is priced at Rs 125,000 and is available at Aisha Sadya Design House MM Alam outlet.

HSY – the three-day bridal extravaganza concluded on a high note with the couture king HSY’s Shah. The king of couture brought his collaboration to this platform. The collection stayed true to his design ethos by merging eastern influences into western silhouettes to create a one of a kind couture collection for the festive season. However, this one in particular got our attention for its signature winter appeal and a festive glamourous look that cannot be ignored. Perfect for dinner parties and night gatherings, the outfit is available on order only and not available as prêt. The cropped blouse is hand stitched with leather finishes between each panel. The embroidery on the sleeves is delicately done in silk and cotton thread. The fabric is a herring bone Harris Tweed. The motifs on the sleeves come from a shrubbery design from the Shalimar Gardens. The high waisted harem pants are reminiscent of the eastern royal courts. Tied at the bottom, they create a look that’s easy to carry for any size. The ankle boots in leather and tweed are also custom made to order with HSY’s collaboration with Gomali.
