City Police (Operations Wing) recovered a kidnapped girl (university student) from an accused who had kept her in a private hotel on Tuesday. In continuation of a grand operation against kidnappers, a joint team of Police Station Civil Lines arrested accused Imdad Ali after a few hours of the incident in which a female student Khizra Shabir of a renowned university was allegedly kidnapped by the criminal. According to details, Muhammad Ibrar, a resident of Angori Scheme Shalamar Link Road Mughalpura had submitted an application in which he informed that his sister Khizra Shabir, student of Bachelors of a women university was kidnapped on Monday. Civil Lines Superintendent of Police Safdar Raza Qazmi immediately after getting information regarding this incident, directed Race Course Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Sameer Noor and Civil Lines Station House Officer Muhammad Adil to lodge a First Information Report and start immediate action against the culprits involved. Operations and investigation teams of Police Station Civil Lines moved ahead in their probe and using Hotel Eye Software arrested the accused Imdad Ali from a private hotel in a successful operation. The kidnapped girl has been recovered and has been handed over to her parents. According to the initial investigation, Imdad Ali is a resident of Tandu Ala Yaar Sindh and an employee of the Education Department. The accused wanted to take the kidnapped girl to Sindh. SP Safdar Raza has appreciated the performance of Police Station Civil Lines team to foil this incident of kidnapping. Further investigation is in process.
