The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized hundreds of kilogramme unhygienic meat and thousands of rotten eggs during separate actions in the provincial capital on Friday. The PFA teams assisted by district administration and accompanied by police launched operations in different markets of Lahore. During separate actions the PFA teams seized 2100 kilogramme unhygienic meat and over 71,000 rotten eggs. The recovered unhygienic meat and rotten eggs were disposed of later. The PFA sources said that the recovered unhygienic meat and rotten eggs were to be supplied in the city but timely action foiled the bid. Several shops were sealed during the operation and cases were registered against the owners. Published in Daily Times, December 8th 2018.
