Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has embarked upon a massive Network Transformation Project (NTP) under which Clifton and Gulshan exchanges have been revamped in Karachi, making it possible for customers in these areas to experience and enjoy reliable, high speed unlimited internet. PTCL regional general manager Abdul Zahir Achakzai said, “We are pleased to see that our transformed exchanges have yielded positive results. The customers residing in Clifton and Gulshan areas of Karachi can now experience high speed and unlimited internet through the new PTCL network. Furthermore, we are already in the process of transforming more exchanges in Karachi under the NTP program.” Under this project, PTCL plans to upgrade 100 exchanges across Pakistan, out of which 53 have already been completed. A total of 3,000 km of fiber network, including Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) & Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) has been deployed across Pakistan. Published in Daily Times, December 7th 2018.
