NAUNDERO: Despite it being the 5th day since the incident occurred, local police has failed to recover stolen bike of General Secretary Rahmat Morio from Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Press Club.
The journalists held demonstration DSP Naundero Shahjahan Shah’s deadline that the motorcycle will be recovered within two days passed, but he could not recover it from unknown thieves who barged into the club and took away Morio’s 2-wheeler.
Emergency meeting of the governing body was also called which condemned police’s ‘negligence’. Latif Solangi, Rahmat Morio, Ghulam Abbas Dhoki, Samad Jamal Dawoodpoto, Rahmat Bhutto, Abdul Qadir Odho, Noor Soomro, Salim Solangi and others were present during the protest.
The meeting unanimously passed a resolution condemning police attitude and their failure to maintain peace and tranquility in the town. They said when journalists and their properties are not safe how can police claim that they are providing security to the residents of Naundero. They said street crimes have increased and cops are doing nothing to control it.
They also gave the police a two-day deadline after which they warned to hold a large sit-in outside Naundero police station which will continue till the motorcycle is recovered. .
