FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Faisalabad wing arrested a man involved in telephone banking fraud in Jhang, Punjab on Saturday. According to details, an investigation was conducted after a complaint was filed by a resident named Muhammad Sadeeq from Abbottabad told the FIA officials that somebody had withdrawn Rs105,000 from his bank account. During the investigation, the FIA officials found out that the suspect used to call people pretending to be a bank officer and got their personal information. Assistant director cyber crime wing Shoaib Haroon told that the suspect Asif was arrested in Jhang after been traced. He further told that Asif had used fake ID’s in order to trick people and transferred their money to his own bank account. However, investigations are still under way, the officials added.
