The authorities have dismissed the suggestion that a boiler accident occurred in the factory that caught fire in Landhi on grounds that there was no boiler found installed in the factory during an inspection visit. This is revealed in a preliminarily inspection report of the accident occurred at M/S Atlas Engineering Ltd. Landhi. The report is released by the Chief Inspector of Boilers, Industries Department. The chief inspector has rebutted media reports regarding the accident claiming that it was caused by the boiler. He said that these reports were untrue and baseless. In his report, the chief inspector has stated that a team of boiler inspectors of Industries Department on November 14, 2018, visited the site for investigation of accident, and met with the general manager (HR & Admin) Major (retd) Abdul Sattar. The report has said that molten metal and combustible gases from Rotary Tilting Furnace splashed out accidently around the furnace and caused burning of workers and equipment nearby.
