Sir: Yemen has been one of the poorest countries in Arab world which has been embroiled in devastating war since September 2014. These wars and conflicts affected the country too badly. This long running war has resulted in the shape of starvation for the most oppressed people in the streets of Yemen. People in Yemen are passing through the worst condition because of hunger, starvation and famine. According to the report of UNO, 70,00000 children are enduring from the state of malnutrition most of whom are under five or more than five years old. Malnutrition causes various diseases which are affecting vigorously all the people. The war of starvation has influenced almost the greatest part of population in Yemen. The impacts of malnutrition can be estimated by seeing the picture of a seven years old girl, Amal Hussain who died in a refugee camp in the Northern Yemen last week. Her picture was shown in the New York Times. There are hundreds of thousands children like Amal Hussain who are suffering through the consequences of starvation. The UNO is humbly requested to show a proper reaction against this war which may cause more harm in the days to follow. MAHJABEEN HASSAN Turbat Kech Published in Daily Times, November 15th 2018.
