Former Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday submitted a petition for a pre-arrest bail in the Sindh High Court in a case pertaining to illegal allotment of land.

In his application the former chief minister said, “I have no issue with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducting an investigation but requested that I not be arrested.”

The application further stated, Shah will comply with the accountability watchdog.

The NAB is investigating the illegal allotment of land in Malir Development Authority.

On November 2, Shah was summoned in connection with the case, however, he refused to appear for the hearing.

According to a NAB source, Shah’s name was not mentioned in the first two reports, however, his name appeared in the third report leading to his summon.
