Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Amna Imran Khan has said that the authority has scanned and completed data entry of 69,000 property files. This was revealed during his meeting with a two-member delegation of World Bank technical support mission, which called on her on Tuesday. The mission was visiting Punjab on the invitation of Punjab government for drafting proposals for urban Land Record computerisation of Punjab. She said that a complete record of four housing schemes namely Jubilee Town, Avenue One, Mustafa Town and Gulbarga had been computerized and various applications with regards to plots situated in these schemes were being processed online. Computerization of land record of Johar Town and Sabazazar was underway. “The computerized record was also being shifted on GIS application. A special project for scanning and computerization of land record of LDA’s housing schemes was being implemented. After completion of this project, the chances of frauds will be reduced to minim and quick action will be possible on applications submitted by the public,” she added. On the other hand, an open auction of lease rights of 22 petrol pump sites of LDA will be held today (Wednesday) at the LDA Community Centre. The sites are located in Gulbarg, New Garden Town, Model Town extension scheme, Faisal Town, Johar Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Quaid-e- Azam Town and Gulshan-e- Ravi.
