The Capital Development Authority’s anti-encroachment operation is continued in the capital city to ensure that all the government land under illegal occupation is retrieved. The Enforcement Directorate is conducting operations against illegal constructions and encroachments all over the city and in this regard show-cause notices have already been issued to the land grabbers. On Monday, several illegal constructions were demolished and several kanals of state land was retrieved from illegal occupants in Doori Bagh and Dhoke Taile of Bari Imam area. Environment Wing and MPO Directorate also participated in the operation while magisterial cover was provided by Islamabad District Administration. A heavy contingent of Islamabad police was also deputed to avoid any untoward situation. During the operation, 20 illegally constructed rooms, 10 boundary walls, one kiosk and 10 illegally built washrooms were razed. Published in Daily Times, November 13th 2018.
