DADU: Sindh Minister for Labour and Human Resources (LHR) Ghulam Murtaza Baloch’s protocol vehicle on Tuesday crushed a motorcyclist to death. Reportedly, the minister along with other Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders were on their way to Larkana for offering condolences to the bereaved family of PPP’s member of provincial assembly Sohail Anwar Siyal on the demise of his father Anwar Siyal. One of their protocol vehicles rammed into motorcyclist Imran Panhwar on a main highway near Bhan Syedabad bypass. Resultantly, he received severe injuries, and subsequently a Rescue team rushed him to the Bhan Syedabad Hospital for medical attention. Later, he was announced dead by doctors. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased Imran Panhwar and residents of the town staged demonstrations at six various places in Bhan Syedabad town for five hours. They called off their protest when police registered FIRs (First Information Reports) against driver Shakir Jokhio who was included in protocol squad of the minister and medical superintendent Ghulam Sarwar Channo of the hospital for allegedly delaying medical treatment to the deceased. Police officers have started further investigation into the incident. Robbery gang leader killed in ‘encounter’ with police in Dadu The leader of a notorious armed robbery gang named as Abdul Sattar Gaincho was killed on Tuesday during an alleged encounter with police officers in Amniani town of Dadu. Reportedly, Dadu Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pervaiz Ahmed Umrani addressed a press conference at his office. He revealed that Gaincho was killed following an exchange of fire with Amniani police officers, and a Kalashnikov and 100 bullets were also recovered from his possession while his two unidentified accomplices managed to escape from the spot.
