Leaders of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) met with the former Sindh governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad on Sunday in order to discuss the formation of a new political party, according to media reports. Sources reported that several leaders of the PSP met the former Sindh governor to formulate a joint strategy for launching a new political party. As per sources, the former governor agreed to form a new party but its name has not been disclosed yet. One of the PSP leaders confirmed that a meeting took place in this connection, according to sources. Sources confirmed that PSP leaders advocate Anees, Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer, Waseem Aftab, Saleem Tajik, and Shakeel Umar had distanced themselves from PSP after the party failed to secure a victory in the July 25 elections. PSP senior leader Anees Advocate, while reacting to the news, said that he met with Ibad with knowledge of the party. The PSP leader said that he worked with the former governor Sindh for past 35 years and the meeting was to resolve any withstanding issue. MQM-P accepts Farooq Sattar’s resignation from Rabita Committee MuttahidaQaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Saturday accepted the resignation of veteran MQM-P politician Farooq Sattar from its core decision-making body, the Rabita Committee and issued him a notice. The notice was issued to Sattar for violating the party discipline and announcing a 22-member committee. The decision was announced at a party meeting held in Bahadurabad office of the MQM-P. Rabita Committee deputy convener Kunwar Naveed Jamil said that they wanted Sattar to remain with them. “But everyone has to follow the party’s rules and discipline,” Kanwar told media. Meanwhile, Sattar, who had announced the 22-member committee last week to steer the party out of an ‘organisational collapse’ said that he was issued a notice for demanding democratic right of the workers.
