The newly-elected member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, Samar Haroon Bilour, demanded, on Thursday, that a judicial commission should be formed to probe the suicide attack that left her husband martyred among 19 other people during the camping for last general elections. Samar Haroon, in a statement, said that she would raise the issue at the floor of the assembly for formation of judicial commission as the people chose to vote for her otherwise the sitting KP government has used every possible tactics against her in the by-elections. She expressed her gratitude for the Awami National Party (ANP) and its supporters for her victory. She said that her victory was a win for Shaheed Haroon Bailour as the people of the constituency avenged the tragic murder of her late husband. The ANP candidate Ms Samar Haroon Bilour has won the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Constituency PK-78 Peshawar-XIII by-election by securing 20,916 votes. According to the unofficial results issued by the Returning Officer on Sunday, Muhammad Irfan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) remained second by getting 16,819 votes. In July this year, at least 20 people, including ANP candidate Haroon Bilour, were martyred while several others sustained injuries in a suicide blast at a corner meeting in Yaka Toot area of the provincial capital.
