LAHORE: Unidentified assailants allegedly barged into the house of a renowned Shia leader in Johar Town and tortured his family members. The four assailants, who were said to be members of a banned organisation, knocked at the door of the house of Allama Muhammad Azam and asked if he was at home. One of his family members replied in negative but the gunmen entered the house by climbing a wall and started torturing the family members of Allama Muhammad Azam. The assailants fled by the time police arrived there. Azam had earlier complained against receiving threatening phone calls. He survived an attack three months ago.
