Sir: It is well known fact that the Donkey King has brought a dramatic change in Pakistan’s film industry. Because in the very beginning daysit has done business of more than 1 crore. It is really a positive change for the Lollywood industry. However, several families are watching it in different cinemas of Pakistanincluding places like Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Peshawar and some more famous cities of Pakistan. Reportedly, the first Pakistani-film produced was Teri Yaad, directed by Daud Chand in 1948. Between 1947 and 2007, Pakistani cinema was based in Lahore, home to the nation’s largest film industry nicknamed Lollywood which soared in the early 1970s. Pakistan was the world’s fourth largest producer of feature films. But unfortunately, after that Lollywood lost its significance and power. But once again the rooted flower is growing slowly and gradually, hopefully the public will get to see a spectacular battle between Lollywood and Bollywood in the coming years. Girls deprived of education Sir: The under construction building of the government Girls Middle School Village Ghari, Taluka Mehar, district Dadu which was started during former chief minister Sindh Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim’s tenure has still not been constructed so far. More than eleven years have passed since yet the building remains to be completed. Even though his government had issued funds to the contractors who after starting some work of school building escaped the area and did not come back to the village in order to complete the school building. It is very sad to say that the girls’ middle school building which is under construction has been converted into animals’ house. The villagers and some social workers have repeatedly demanded completion of the building but the authorities concerned have so far remained unmoved. Due to incomplete school building, girls of district Dadu’s village Ghari are deprived of right to education. In fact; girl students of the respective village cannot afford to travel to near cities in order to get education. However, it is a responsibility of the government to provide right of education to its citizens by fulfilling all those required things which are needed to them like school building, infrastructure and so on. Moreover in the past, even the current prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the former Chief Ministers of Sindh Liaqat Ali Jatoi, Arbab Ghulam Rahim and many other politicians had been there at village Ghari, Taluka Mehar but unfortunately none of them could play pivotal role in completion of the school building. It is requested to the CM Sindh and Education Minister Sardar Shah to look into the matter and ensure the completion of the school building at the earliest so that girls of the respective village could get quench thirst of knowledge rather than drop out due.
