Government terminates Presidents of National Bank, SME Bank, First Women Bank Limited, ZTBL

ISLAMABAD: The government in pursuance of decisions made by the federal cabinet on October 4 has terminated on Monday the presidents of National Bank, SME Bank, First Women Bank Limited, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd  (ZTBL).

The government has replaced ZTBL president Syed Talat Mehmood with Sheikh Aman Ullah, who currently serves as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP).

Naushaba Shahzad has replaced the First Women Bank Limited president Tahira Raza.

Furthermore, Dilshad Ali Ahmad has taken charge as SME Bank president replacing Ihsan ul Haq Khan.

The government has also terminated two Deputy Governors of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Jameel Ahmed and Shamsul-Hasan.

Furthermore, the Chairperson Competition Commision of Pakistan (CCP) Vadiya Khalil, members of the commission Shahzad Ansar and Dr. Muhammad Saleem also face termination.
