Veteran actor Sarmad Khoosat plays Prisoner Z in ‘No time to sleep’, a 24-hour-long performance that shines a light on the cruelty of capital punishment. The performance was being streamed online with a large audience from across the world, and the hash tag #notimetosleep is currently trending in Pakistan. The groundbreaking live stream has a timeline of events charted to explain how Prisoner Z, also known as Doctor Sahib, will be counting each moment of his life from the arrival of his family to the final death sentence. The project has been organised by Justice Project Pakistan, in collaboration with Olomopolo Media and Highlight Arts.
