City Traffic Police on Saturday conducted an operation against the use of illegal, unauthorised and substandard CNG cylinders in public service vehicles. According to the CTP spokesperson, during the operation, a First Information Report was lodged against drivers of 35 public service vehicles for using substandard compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders in their vehicles. All the drivers were arrested on the spot. While talking to media, Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Bin Ashraf said that the main objective of this special campaign is to save lives and decrease traffic accidents. He said that crackdown against use of substandard gas cylinders will be continued in future as well. Published in Daily Times, October 7th 2018.
