The Senate Standing Committee on Defense headed by chairman Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati visited the Air Headquarters on Tuesday. On arrival at the Air Headquarters, the distinguished guests were received by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan. Later, the committee was given a detailed briefing regarding the role played by PAF in the aerial defense of Pakistan. Senate Standing Committee on Defense Chairman Azam Khan Swati lauded the sound professionalism of PAF personnel as well as its commendable contributions in safeguarding Pakistan’s national security. He acknowledged the role played by PAF in recent times and termed it as one of the best air forces of the world. The members of the Senate Standing Committee on Defense included Lieutenant General (r) Abdul Qayyum, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Abdul Rahman Malik, Khushbakht Shujaat, Sajjad Hussain Turi, Mir Kabir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, Muhammad Javed Abbasi and Chaudhary Tanveer Khan.
