LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is under immense pressure from the T10 oganisers to release players for the upcoming edition of the league. It has been learned that the PCB has shown reluctance in giving No Objection Certificate (NOC) to star players and officials for the tournament.T he second edition of the league will be played in Sharjah between November 23-December 2 later this year and will include players from all over the world. Interestingly, Pakistan also be there in the UAE as they are scheduled to take on New Zealand in three T20Is, three one-day internationals (ODI) and two Test matches. It is pertinent to mention that last year the PCB received $0.4 million from the organisers for releasing the players, whereas this year, the organisers have agreed to pay $0.6 million. Recently, the newly elected PCB chairman, Ehsan Mani, has raised concerns over the league. In this regard, the founder of the T10 League Shajiul Mulk has met Mani during the Asia Cup 2018 match between Pakistan and India in Dubai and tried to convince him to allow Pakistan players to take part in the competition. Moreover, the organisers are also working to bring back Salam Iqbal as the president of the league, who resigned from his post raising questions on the transparency in the league.
