KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Dr. Farooq Sattar announced on Saturday that he will challenge the results of Amir Liaqat’s NA-245 constituency during the July 25 elections. Speaking to the media in the metropolis, the MQM-P leader apprised that “I have prepared a petition to challenge NA-245 results in the election tribunal.” “I will provide evidence and witnesses,” Sattar claimed. He further told the media that he was hopeful that his plea will be heard and a decision will be taken in his favour. Previously, Sattar had resigned from Rabita Committee, the MQM-P’s top decision-making body Earlier, he had also claimed that he was consulting with his close friends over an offer. He informed that the PTI has offered him to join the party and contest the by-election on NA-247 from Dr Arif Alvi’s seat.
