Pakistan to chase 258-run target against Afghanistan

ABU DHABI: Afghanistan set up 258-run target for Pakistan to win their first Super 4 phase match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

Shahidi played a brilliant knock and scored 97 runs while skipper Asghar Afghan bowled out at 67 runs.

For Pakistan Mohammad Nawaz took 3 wickets for 57 runs in 10 overs.

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan in the Super 4 phase of the Asia Cup 2018 match on Friday at Abu Dhabi.

After defeating Bangladesh at the final match of group stage by 136 runs yesterday (Thursday), Afghanistan is looking for another upset if they take on Green Shirts.

Pakistan have gone in with three changes against Afghanistan. Shaheen Afridi makes his ODI debut and replaced Mohammad Amir. Haris Sohail makes his place for all-rounder Fahim Ashraf. Unfit Shadab Khan has been replaced by another spinner Mohammad Nawaz.

Afghanistan on the other hand have decided to keep their winning combination against Pakistan.
