ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said the Karbala tragedy teaches humanity the lesson of sacrifice and tolerance for the greater good and that truth and honesty will always prevail over falsehood. In his message to the nation on occasion of Youm-e-Ashur, PM Imran said there was now, more than ever, a need to unite as one and defeat evil motives of the enemies of the country. He said the martyrs of Karbala were the prime example of sacrifice, tolerance and honesty that everyone needs to follow. “Muharram 10 reminds us of the great sacrifices rendered by Imam Hussain and his companions to uphold Islam and truthfulness. The Karbala tragedy teaches us that we should not shy away from any sacrifices needed for the greater good,” PM Imran said. Khan said that in the wake of the ongoing conflict between the right and falsehood, people need to seek inspiration and guidance from the uprightness of Imam Hussain so as to frustrate the evil designs of those who are bent upon damaging the true vision and spirit of a peaceful religion like Islam. “Falsehood will always vanish when it comes up against truth,” Khan added.
