If women ruled the world

Author: Daily Times

Sir: However much we say that men and women are equal, a woman is as capable as a man but the fact is that the world is ruled by men. Yes women do hold respectable positions in government and non- government offices but still the majority of the workforce consists of men. As a result of being the breadwinner of the household in most of the cases, thus men rule the family. The greater consequence is that men rule the society, the country and the world at large. Women are as capable as men but the trend that follows is that men always take the initiative in any task that is outside the four walls of the house. The question here is what if women ruled the world?

As stated earlier, women are as capable as men and in general there would be no much difference in today’s world except one. There would have been lesser wars. Women are emotionally stronger than men but physically nature has made women weak as compared to men. Since women are softer at heart than a man, it would become difficult for them to give harsh judgments to criminals for their offenses.

But this fact can easily be avoided because with women ruling the world the crime rate would also be less because women cannot commit crimes at such large scales. If women ruled the world, men would obviously be responsible for the household activities. The result would be that their tasks would have been simpler because being physically strong; completing the household tasks would be easier for them as compared to women. With men ruling the house, thus the house will become a better place to live in.

Thinking about a day when women will rule the world is like thinking about living in an altogether different planet. It is not difficult to create this scenario but at least a century would be required to achieve this phenomenal change. Till then it is the duty of each and every citizen to understand the fact that both men and women are equal in each and every field of life.
