Scores of students of the Government Primary School Mahmandpur organised a demonstration on Saturday against the Dutch Child Protection authorities for allegedly taking two children of Pakistan’s ambassador to Netherland’s former assistant Khair Muhammad Tunio into protective custody amid claims of parent’s neglect and psychological disorder. Reportedly, students gathered in front of the Larkana press club and demanded safe recovery of 13-year-old Rabia and 12-year-old Sanaullah Tunio while accusing the Dutch Child Protection authorities of committing sheer violations of human rights by subjecting Tunio’s family to inhuman psychological torture since September 2017. They said that the both children were taken into custody on false grounds that their father was a threat to them. “They are not allowed to see their parents or contact them for one year,” they said. Meanwhile, they appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to take up the issue with the Dutch government for their recovery.
