Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has said that a grand operation would be launched soon and all encroachments would be removed without any discrimination throughout the province. He added that the real structure of all the towns and buildings would be restored in real condition and mafias would be brought to book in this regard. The Punjab senior minister shared these views while talking to a delegation of office bearers of Lahore Press Club (LPC). He said that everyone would be given a week’s time and the drive to abolish encroachments would start soon after Muharram 10 in the entire province. Abdul Aleem Khan, who also holds the portfolio of Local Government and Community Development, said on the occasion that the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has given first 100 days plan aimed at opening new avenues for common man. He further added that a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to start this new era in different sectors in the largest province of the country and he himself is holding meetings with different departments in this regard. He assured his full cooperation to solve the present issues of LPC and said that Punjab government would fully support them in providing them all possible help. The senior minister also offered his support to Journalist Colony and LPC problems. He said that his doors are open for all round the clock and he would also talk to Punjab chief minister as well as the finance minister to resolve the pending affairs of the journalist community. LPC President Azam Chaudhary briefed the senior minister on an increase in the grant for the club, Journalist Colony land grabbing and development work in F Block and expressed hope that the present government would take special interest to solve their genuine problems.
