A high level delegation of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) headed by its rector and president called on Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri on Tuesday and discussed matters pertaining to cooperation between universities of Muslim countries and issues such as initiation of new educational projects.
The IIUI delegation comprised of rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai, president Dr Ahmed Yousaf al Draiweesh and vice presidents Dr Muhammad Munir, Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalili and Dr Aqdas Naveed Malik.
HEC Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri thanked IIUI delegation and appreciated the services of IIUI especially its role in the field of linkages, solutions to the challenges and dialogues. He said universities must be given opportunities for linkages. He also stressed for a well linked cooperation between Muslim world universities.
IIUI delegation hoped that according to the mandate of Dr Tariq Banuri, academic excellence and higher education will continue to improve. The IIUI rector and president assured that the university will be amongst the leading ranks to be a bridge for linking the Islamic world varsities and also hailed Tariq Banuri for efficiently handling the affairs of the commission.
