Talking on the rising infant mortality in Thar, chairman Pak sarzameen party Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan is also the prime minister of the people of Thar, and hence a serious heed should be paid by him on this rising death toll of infants and pregnant women in the region. ”The PM should take notice of rising death toll and should make sure the provision of food and health facilities in the province of Sindh, with the assistance of sindh government”, said Mustafa kamal. ”Our infants and pregnant women in Thar are devastatingly losing their lives due to scarcity of clean drinking water and food”, added Mustafa kamal. Mustafa Kamal said that despite the miserable situation in Thar including lack of basic health and food facilities, clean drinking water, rising unemployment no action has yet been taken by the provincial government. ” How could the government claim for a prosperous nation, when it is leaving these people in the famine”, continued Mustafa Kamal. He said that federal and provincial governments should wake up and act accordingly to eradicate the state of famine, as the problem has now gone beyond the limits. Criticising PPP, he said that the government of Pakistan Peoples party (PPP) is in tenure in the region for the past ten years and the condition of province is still miserable, which is a huge question mark on their performance.
