World First Aid Day celebrated by Rescue 1122

GUJRANWALA: In connection with the “World First Aid Day”, an annual campaign organized on September 8 every year to promote the importance of first aid training in preventing injuries and saving lives, the Rescue 1122 arranged a one-day first aid training camp at the Rescue Headquarters on Saturday. The citizens from across the city participated in this training camp while the rescue trainers gave tips to the citizens regarding the first aid. Later, a walk was also held by the rescue department from the rescue office to Gondlanwala Chowk. Hundreds of rescue officials and citizens participated in the walk.

Intermediate results to be announced on Sept 12

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) will announce the result of Intermediate annual examination 2018 on September 12 at 10am. In this regard, a prize distribution ceremony will also be held in the Gujranwala Board Hall and the Commissioner Gujranwala Division Asad Ullah Faiz will be the chief guest of the ceremony.

Youth died while crossing railway track

A young boy was crushed to death by a train on Saturday at the Ghakar Mandi Gujranwala in a fateful accident. It was reported that Fasih ud Din, aged 15, was crossing the railway line with headphones in his ears when a train from Rawalpindi to Lahore crushed him to death.

CTD arrests two terrorists

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), on Saturday, arrested two alleged terrorists after a raid. It was told that the CTD team conducted a raid near the Nawab Chowk after getting a tip and arrested two accused Asif and Wali Muhammad. The CTD team also recovered hand grenades and illegal weapons from the accused.
