GUJRANWALA: The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE), on Friday, arrested two government officials red handed while they were receiving bribe at the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) office. According to the details, a citizen, Muhammad Qasim, gave an application to the ACE that Owais, a clerk at WASA office, was demanding bribe from him for the issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC). Another citizen complained that the clerk, Bujan Lal, was also demanding bribe for the issuance of NOC. On the directions of the regional director, the ACE teams raided at the WASA office and held both the accused, Owais and Bujan Lal, red handed while receiving the bribe. Woman gives birth to a child in ambulance A woman gave birth to a child in Rescue 1122 ambulance on Friday while she was being shifted to a hospital at Nowshera Virkan. It was reported that the wife of Kashif Masih, a resident of Chand Colony, was being shifted to the hospital when she gave birth to a child in the vehicle. Both the mother and the child were shifted to the Tehsil Headquartes (THQ) Hospital where their condition was stable. Brawl erupts between Rescue 1122 officials The Rescue 1122 officials thrashed each other after a brawl erupted between the two groups at the Rescue Headquarters Office. It was reported that Khurram, Muzammil and Maqsood started fighting each other over an issue. Later, both the groups contacted the concerned police station for registering of the FIRs.
