‘Mother keeps asking why Maryam won’t call her’: Hussain Nawaz

Speaking to the media outside the Harley Street Clinic in London, where mother of Hussain Nawaz, Begum Kalsoom is battling with Cancer, Hussain said that her mother is still unaware of the captivity of his sister Maryam and his father Nawaz.

”She keeps asking me why Maryam is not calling her ” said Hussain Nawaz.

Hussain said that they don’t know how to answer this question and are trying to avoid the topic. Hussain further said his father is allowed to call once every two weeks for a few minutes.

It should be mentioned here that, Nawaz and Maryam are currently imprisoned at the Adiala Jaila, along with Maryam’s husband Captain (retd) Safdar. They were sentenced to ten, seven and one year in the Avenfield reference. Talking on the health of Begum Kalsoom, Hussain said she is still in the ICU and is able to speak but cannot sit or walk yet.
