Pakistan army reshuffles its top hierarchy

Rawalpindi: Pakistan army has reshuffled its top military hierarchy and also changed some of the key Corps Commanders.

Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza has been appointed as the Chief of General Staff (CGS) which is considered the number two top position in GHQ.

An ISPR communique issued today says that Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza has been transferred and posted at GHQ as inspector general for communications and information technology.

Chief of General Staff at GHQ Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar has been appointed as Commander 10 Corps (Rawalpindi).

IG communications and information technology Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz has been posted as Commander five Corps Karachi.

Moreover, Lieutenant General Muhammad Naeem Ashraf has been appointed Commander 2 Corps (Multan). He previously served as the Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT).

Furthermore, the Commander 2 Corps Lieutenant General Abdullah Dogar has been appointed
Chairman HIT.
