ISLAMABAD: The newly sworn in federal cabinet has decided to place the names of jailed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The decision was made in the first meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, following the swearing in ceremony of its members.
The cabinet directed the authorities to bring back Nawaz’s sons, Hassan and Hussain, and former finance minister Ishaq Dar making sure the implementation on their red warrants, Information Minister Chaudhry told media after the meeting.
The cabinet also discussed matters pertaining to the austerity and economic measures, he said, adding no minister will be allowed to use facility of treatment abroad on government expenses.
Fawad said PM Imran has directed the cabinet members to try their best to eradicate corruption from their relevant ministries.
The meeting also discussed the road map to implement vision of PM Imran announced in his first address to the nation last night.
