It seems that newly-elected Prime Minister Imran Khan is not ready to compromise on work as he has reached his office even on a holiday. Wearing a black track suit with joggers, PM Imran Khan was seen talking to the staff members of his office. Imran Khan addressed the nation on Sunday during which, he announced future strategy and priorities of his government. On Saturday, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief was sworn in as the 22nd PM of Pakistan in a simple ceremony hosted at the Aiwan-i-Sadr in Islamabad. A tearful Khan smiled as he stumbled over some of the words of the oath administered to him by President Mamnoon Hussain. He swore to “bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan”, and to “discharge my duties and perform my functions honestly, to the best of my ability and always in the interest of the sovereignty, integrity, solidarity, well-being and prosperity of Pakistan”. As the ceremony concluded, Khan proceeded to the PM’s Office, where he was presented a guard of honour. Khan was elected Pakistan’s PM by the parliament after his party swept the general election last month, marking the beginning of his PTI tenure in power. Khan, 65, received 176 votes as against 96 votes by his only rival Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz at the voting held at Parliament House in Islamabad.
