The bodies were found two hours after the killings and were shifted to Rural Health Center, Naundero, for autopsy and other legal formalities.
According to Ghulam Khokhar, nephew of the deceased Baig Khohar, his uncle had gone to village Jodh located on the other side of Indus River along with his friend Ali Khan Kharos.He said that they were returning home when they were suddenly attacked by 20 armed men in which both died on the spot.
He said that the accused Akbar Kurio and we belong to the same party of Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, but don’t know why Kurio attacked my uncle and his friend.
Police said both dead men were wanted by the polic in different cases. Kharos was released from jail a month ago after facing imprisonment in various criminal cases and Khokhar was wanted by police in cases of murders and disputes.
Incharge DSP Shahjahan Shah told newsmen Daily Times that the incident seems to be the result of personal enmity adding further that the police is probing the case and whosoever is involved will be arrested. No case was however registered yet.
