LAHORE: Former Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has said that PTI chairman Imran Khan is heartthrob to millions, after arriving in Lahore via Wagah Border here on Friday. Sidhu was invited by Imran for the ceremony which is scheduled to take place on August 18. “Imran Khan is heartthrob to millions,” said Sidhu. “I have come to Pakistan on Imran’s invitation.” He also termed the change in Pakistan’s political scenario as a special moment for the country. “I have come to Pakistan with a message of love and consider these moments very special as a change has occurred in the democracy of Pakistan,” Sidhu said. Sidhu added that he was not visiting Pakistan just as a politician but as a friend of Imran Khan. “I’m not here as a politician but as a friend of Imran,” he said. Sidhu is expected to arrive in Islamabad in the evening on the same day where he will attend the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister-in-waiting Khan. He is also expected to meet Imran during his stay in the federal capital. He will leave for Lahore on August 19 and will travel back home via Wagah Border on the same day.
