Diplomats from China, Mauritius, Iran, Italy, UAE, Qatar, Vietnam, Russia, Indonesia and Malaysia along with eminent citizens, students and parents attended an Independence Day event at Greenwich University (GU). The ceremony began with a flag hoisting by vice chancellor Seema Mughal. In her address which followed the flag hoisting ceremony, Seema Mughal called upon the youth to dedicate their services for betterment of the country. She said that we should all follow principles of unity, faith and discipline to fulfil the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Mughal’s address was followed by tableau, skits, national songs and speeches by students. The students wrote one sentence about how future Pakistan should be. All sentences will be sent to government, so that government could know about vision of youth. Later a ‘Solidarity Memento’ was distributed among diplomats. Published in Daily Times, August 16th 2018.
